The Le Sueur City Council exercises the legislative power of the City of Le Sueur and determines all matters of policy. For our Council to effectively serve the City of Le Sueur, we need willing citizens to serve in this capacity. Candidacy for elective municipal offices runs through 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 16th. Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8th.
Filing for City Council candidacy is easy!
1. Submit a petition to City Hall signed by 25 eligible voters
2. Pay a $2.00 registration fee
The mayor is the presiding officer of the council and is elected to be the head of government for a city or town.
