Water Drop Heart

Water Conservation and Current Drought Conditions

With more than 75 percent of Minnesota experiencing severe drought and some area experiencing extreme drought, it is important that we all pitch in and reduce our water consumption.  The City of Le Sueur is asking all customers to join the effort by reducing your water use during this time.

One of the easiest ways to do this is by altering lawn-watering habits.  Most yards only need approximately 1” of water per week to stay healthy.  Water lawns just once a week early in the morning or evening to maximize absorption.

For more information about water conservation and 2021 drought conditions, visit our water conservation page.  We will continue to provide tips and drought updates from the Minnesota DNR.
